My name is Sarah, and my love for growing flowers began in 2018 with a pack of dollar store seeds and a cheap bag of soil. Having never grown a thing in my entire life, I planted those seeds and lo and behold they GREW…I was hooked. Each year since, I’ve grown and experimented with more and more varieties, and it never gets old for me!
Fast forward to the summer of 2020, and a dream began to take root in my heart. I wanted to start a flower farm! We lived in a charming, cape cod home on .65 acres of overgrown, hilly land, but I was hopeful I could at least have a small plot for flowers. Well, providentially, a home became available in Murrysville, Pennsylvania that sat on a stunning, FLAT two acres, with a creek in the back and a gorgeous tree-filled hill in view. You better believe we jumped on that opportunity! 2021 was the year my flower farming dream started to take shape! Each summer I have rows and rows of the most stunning blooms - varieties you absolutely will not find at the grocery store or your average garden! I’m SO excited to connect with people in my community and serve them by adding to the beauty in their lives.
At the end of my first flower farming season in 2021, I threw a few of my blooms in some old books, thinking I’d never have a use for them. How wrong I was! I created my first pressed flower frame using flowers from my own flower farm, to commemorate my first season. I loved the thought that I could preserve something that held so much beauty and meaning, and enjoy it for years to come. As I experimented with pressing every kind of flower imaginable, my knowledge and confidence in this art grew, and I began to receive requests to preserve both bridal flowers and memorial flowers. What a privilege to be trusted with the most meaningful flowers from these truly significant events! I have now worked with hundreds of individuals, creating heirloom pieces to be cherished for years to come.
